Terms of Service

By using Pocket Search, you agree to these terms.

What this is

Pocket Search is a deep-research tool. Ask a hard question and it works the way a careful researcher would: it searches the open web, reads the primary sources itself, weighs claims against each other, and writes a cited brief you can trace back to where each fact came from. It runs until the answer is genuinely ready, not until the first plausible sentence, and it shows its work.

A research system does the work, with a language model at its core. That is what makes it fast and thorough: it can read dozens of sources in a single pass and surface conflicts you might not have found. Like any research, a brief can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong, so check anything that matters before you rely on it.

We keep very little data

We store the minimum needed to operate the service: your sign-in credential and basic technical logs. We do not sell your data, and we do not run ad trackers.

If you join the waitlist, we keep the email you gave us so we can send you a key. If you start a free trial, we keep a small trial identity and a device fingerprint to stop abuse. Neither needs you to sign up.

Your reports stay in your browser

Your conversations and reports are stored locally in your browser, not on our server. We don't keep a copy of your history. Two short-lived exceptions: we briefly hold your most recent answer (up to 24 hours) so you can reopen it after a dropped connection or a restart, and if you turn on multi-device sync, your reports are also stored on our server so your other devices can see them. For full privacy, leave sync off: your reports then live only in your browser, with no copy on our server beyond the short-lived cache above.

Use the output responsibly

A brief can be incomplete, outdated, or simply wrong. Before you rely on any output, or pass it on, evaluate it and verify what matters. You are responsible for any decision or action you take based on the research. Pocket Search is not legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.

Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service, overload it, or attempt to break its limits. Access is at our discretion and can be paused or revoked.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, continuing to use Pocket Search means you accept the revised terms.
